When I sit to write my words of verse,
I try to make you feel better not worse.
So I sit and write when I have the notion,
to scribe the words to each emotion.
I try to point out the good not bad.
For my aim is not to make you feel sad.
I try to see in each and every situation,
the smallest glimmer of inspiration.
And now and then from time to time,
I struggle for words to make my rhyme.
And when the words are hard to find,
I search the corners of my mind.
And when the words are finally found
I quickly race to write them down.
I look for the good in all I see,
and put it on paper so carefully.
And when it all fits like I think it should,
I hope my words made you feel good.
